[DRAFT] The Federal Reserve Architecture Diagram
I'm a visual learner, and recently I've taken an interest in the mechanics of the Fed.
I just finished reading The Lords of Easy Money by Christopher Leonard. It traces the Fed's response to the 2008 crisis, the easy-money decade that followed, and then Covid - and doesn't shy away from the messy consequences. Throughout the book I kept filing away facts about the Fed and trying to build a mental model.
Below is the architecture diagram I've come up with to best walk you through the Fed. All feedback welcome!
